Spring 2011 Registration Now Open!

Charlotte Junior Soccer Foundation, Inc. has offered recreational soccer programs for Charlotte children since 1974. The recreational program consists of a Fall and a Spring program. The Fall program has over 1,500 players while the spring program has over 1,300 players. Many of our players have gone on to play soccer in high school, college and beyond.

Our main purpose is to introduce and educate children so they have a lifelong love of the game of soccer. Our Division Coordinators put the teams together with the overall aim of balancing teams by age and skill level. We organize the teams every Fall season and may hold teams somewhat together in some divisions for the Spring season. We do not hold entire teams together year after year. We do try to place one buddy per player on each team whenever possible.

SPRING SEASON INFORMATION: Play begins in mid-MARCH and continues through late May for Spring 2011 . Practices are once a week in the afternoon (day and time depend on your coach/team and field availability) with most games on Saturday mornings.

FEES: Fees for the Spring season are $115.  NOTE: Any registrations received after February 15 will incur a $10 late fee (total cost $125) and are not guaranteed a spot on a team!

AGE DIVISIONS: Charlotte Junior Soccer Foundation offers the following divisions of play:

We are relatively strict on age cut offs, especially playing "UP" in Under 5 or Under 6. If you want your child to "play up" (making your child one of the youngest) in Under 6, you must be a Head Coach or Co-Coach. If your child was born between December 31, 2006-March 30, 2007, but you think is ready to play an organized sport, we ask that you be a Head Coach or Co-Coach. We make exceptions on "playing down" on a case-by-case basis. Age divisions are outlined above, with each division will be separated by gender. Under 5's: This program (called Moppets) is divided into boys and girls teams. The teams are kept very small-5 or 6 max.-and play is 3v3. The teams will practice once a week and have games on Saturday.

Under 6's: The Under 6's (formerly called the Muppets) will continue to be Girls and Boys with no co-ed teams. Teams are 6-8 players and play 4v4 and 5v5.
