2008 SPONSORS
FALL 2007 SPONSORS Check the UPDATES AND RAIN DATES page for the latest information on field closures due to weather and start dates for various divisions, etc. Play begins in early to mid-March and continues through mid-May for Spring 2008. Practices are once a week in the afternoon (day and time depend on your coach/team and field availability) with most games on Saturday mornings. We are strict on age cut offs, especially in the Moppets/Under 5 and Muppet/Under 6. If you want your child to "play up" (making your child one of the youngest) in either of those divisions, you must be a Head Coach. We make exceptions on "playing down" on a case-by-case basis. Age divisions are outlined on the application. If you have a question, please email cjrsf@aol.com. There will be a free coaching clinic FEBRUARY 23, 12:30-2:30 AT FREEDOM PARK for all those interested in coaching for CJSF this spring. Email cjrsf@aol.com and we will add you to our list of participants. Please consider sponsoring a team. We have finished the total renovation of the Latta/Dilworth Elementary Fields and are seeking donations to cover the cost. THANKS TO OUR FALL SPONSORS AND OTHER DONATIONS, CJSF WAS ABLE TO PUT A SUBSTANTIAL DENT IN OUR DEBT! We are trying to pay off the rest of this debt in the next 12 months, so any spring sponsors or other donations are greatly appreciated. In addition, CJSF renovates our fields every summer and provides monthly turf care for all our fields. A big part of every membership fee goes to cover this expense, but is not enough to cover our yearly turf care expenses. Sponsorship money helps offset these very substantial yearly costs and also provides money for scholarships. Cost is $400 per team per season. Mark your application form or email us at cjrsf@aol.com if you would like to sponsor a team.

Team sponsors - sponsor a team for $400 per season. Your company or team name on the back of each jersey--great way to advertise and support your child's team. We also allow you to choose jersey color whenever possible if you sponsor a team. Email if interested. CJSF and Challenge Soccer CUFC Speed, our challenge program, is a division of Charlotte United Futbol Club (CUFC, www.charlotteunited.com). CUFC coaches and trainers will conduct the tryouts for all of the Charlotte United Speed teams. CUFC operates, trains, and manages the Charlotte United Speed challenge teams, along with Park Sharon, University City and Harris Y challenge teams. CUFC is a member of the North Carolina Youth Soccer Association (NCYSA, www.ncsoccer.org). CUFC Speed teams are open to all but the majority of the players are former CJSF recreational players. CUFC challenge teams participate in the Charlotte Area Youth Soccer League (CAYSL, www.caysl.org), the state sanctioned challenge league for our area. All Charlotte Junior players, along with any interested player, who wish to play at the challenge level are welcome to try out for the CUFC challenge teams in late May. Tryout information is listed on our Challenge page and at the Charlotte United web site. On line registration is available and encouraged. Challenge teams start at Under 9 and go to Under 14, girls and boys. The minimum age for challenge players is 7 on or after August 1st of that playing year (or what is defined as a true Under 8 player). CUFC also has classic teams, the next level of competition after challenge, for ages Under 11 through Under 19. Please check the Charlotte United Futbol Club web site, charlotteunited.com, for updates on the challenge and classic teams.
